(1) How to enter <BIOS>

- Turn off computer and wait five seconds

- Turn on computer, and then immediately press [ESC] key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens 

- Press [F10] to enter <BIOS>

 

(2) Check option [x] fingerprint reset, save bios settings and exit

(3) Test again ...

(4) Please report your results

You are right, the is no options to reset fingerprint. There are different BIOS versions out there depending on the model.

Our options are exhausted. The fingerprint reader is probably defective.

 

--- HP warranty valid -> Contact HP Support

 

--- HP warranty expired:

If you can't do that, you should have it <serviced> by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

 

Independent information

You should change to the following settings to save your battery in long term.

Bios > Configuration > Battery Care Function [80%]
