Microsoft Windows 11

After updating the Thunderbolt G4 to 1.5.x from a 1.3.x firmware I have the following issue with my Elitebook 845 G9:
- the dock does not wake up the monitor screens from sleep mode anymore, but the laptop will happily pretend they're there

- the monitors have to be physically disconnected from power to be turned on again, the power button and on screen menu does not work.

- sometimes the dock is not able to enumerate the monitors and the laptop will fall back on its own screen

Before the firmware update the dock did not have any problems except for some blinking now and then, which was preferable to physically disconnecting monitors everytime my screens go to sleep.

The good thing is that it keeps me at my computer as I don't want the screens to go to sleep 🙂

This looks a lot like: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/No-external-displays-detected-With-Thunderbolt-dock...
Which was not solved in that conversation.

Confirmed. Our G4 docks are all updated to 1.5.22.0 and now displays will not wake from sleep until we pull the power. Does not matter which model HP laptop. Does not matter which model HP display, or which brand display. Everything works again when switching back to the G2 dock.

Really upset that we're spending thousands of dollars on premium equipment with such basic failures.
