Because of a bad accu,  the old one caused several faults; bad accu but also fuse 42 fault. after contact i ordered an original replacement. (FM08) ;

Unfortunnately after replacing it the fault blown fuse 42 still exists and the new accu is not recognized by HP dyagnostic.

do i have to replace a fuse also?  where can i find it?

Or are there any other tools/methods to fix this.

I also have checked the powersupply. it still works. The led indicator on my laptop also goes on ( orange ) by connection it.

Hello, i Mean i replaced the battery of my laptop. But after that i still notice that the battery is not loading.
using the hp diagnostictool by pressing F2 during start up fuse(42) is defect.
So, new battery, still not loading.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check if it helps.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111066.exe

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi the fossette.

I already installed all new driver/bios before i start this topic. But after your mail i did it another time just to be sure.

Before i checked the version ( F23 ) and after it again. still F23

After reboot i checked battery status by HP support assistent.

it says: no mainaccu available (60)

When checking by bootdiagnostic (F2 during start up ) i got the fault fuse 42 is gone. so accu can not reload.

Accu has a level of 43%

I recommend you contact support as it looks like an issue with the battery connector or the charging board.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Cheers!
