I am reaching out because all the USB ports on my HP Victus 16-r0000 laptop suddenly stopped working today.

I’ve spent the day trying all available fixes, but the problem persists:

Troubleshooting I’ve Attempted:

  1. Power Settings: Removed the "power saving" tick box from all USB controllers in Device Manager.

  2. Driver Reset: Following forum advice, I uninstalled ACPI from Device Manager and rebooted the system to force a driver reload.

  3. Hard Reset: I performed a 30-second power button press (hard reset) to clear residual power and fixed subsequent CMOS errors that came up on boot.

  4. BIOS Update: Updated the system to the latest BIOS version via HP Support Assistant. F-29version

Fun Fact: I bought this laptop 2 years ago, and the warranty expired today, October 13, 2025, the same day this significant issue popped up. A little irony there.

Could you please advise on the next step for repair?

it may indicate a hardware failure, especially considering the timing with your warranty expiration. The next recommended step is to contact HP Support or visit an authorized service center for a professional diagnosis and repair. If your warranty has just expired, it’s worth explaining your situation, as sometimes they offer limited assistance or repair options even out of warranty.
