Hello, I have the same Hp omen 16 like you with AMD Ryzen and just a few days ago my laptop was facing this issue. I still have the warranty. How did the service center handle your laptop? Did they replaces the motherboard or anything else?

On first call he came to my home to know the issue & install the new motherboard but due to some error he took the laptop and handed me next day in service centre. See everything was smooth, took 1 week overall & the guy who visited didn't have full knowledge about this error. So i will rate 7/10.
Omen call centre connected with me instead hp so - 9/10 here.
Last please buy a llano cooling pad so that at hot room temperature your laptop won't get hot.

So they replaced your laptop motherboard with a new one huh? I tried bringing my omen to the service center and they said that the black screen issue is because of software issue and they told me to backup the data before they reinstall the BIOS, I think I should explain this issue more clearly to them

It was no an easy process for me personally. I had called and spoke with the first rep who told us that we would be able to ship to HP and they would repair for free. They said it would take about 3 weeks. So we called the next day the second time to set up the repair and the guy tried saying it was going to cost $300 dollars. After arguing with him and asking to speak with his supervisor to expedite the situation. We finally got back to not having to pay for repair. We did get the repaired laptop back after about 2-3 weeks and they replaced the motherboard and the touchpad for us free of charge
