Product: HP Spectre x360 - 15-df1004ng
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

 

I need a battery replacement.since battery was bloated.

 

My repair shop ordered an alternative batteriy for HP Spectre x360 - 15-df1004ng  (3,5 years old) since the orgigial battery is out of stock everywhere?!

 

But all alternative products are not working - are not accepted/recognized by the laptop. Repair shop person said, HP has firmware on batteries, to recognize/accept only original batteries.

 

So what can I do?

- original batteries are out of stock

and

- alternative products which fit physically but are not recognized by the laptop.

 

Any idea what to do next?

 

Does that mean, I need to buy a new laptop, because of the battery? A 100 EUR part missing in a 1400 EUR laptop? If this is the case, I know exactlely that this was my first and last HP computer. 

 

Can s.o. help here - I am lost....
