So I have been doing editing work for a while and I've noticed, my premiere pro gets very laggy. I was thinking of doing an upgrade.

Here is the laptop I'm using -

HP Pavillion x360 Convertible 14 dy0xxx

Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 2.42 GHz

Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.77 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Graphics card is Intel irisx

I wanted to ask will upgrading to a 16GB VRAM be a good option? Will it effect my processor or laptop in a negative way?

You can upgrade to a maximum of 32GB of installed memory.

That will help when using a graphics editing program.

When you describe a program, don't use pet names for it. That makes people have to guess. We don't like to guess and want to have all of the information we need.

Always use the complete manufacturer name so someone you are talking to about it will completely understand what you are referring to.

It won't be VRAM. It will be soDIMM modules of memory running in dual channel mode.
