HP Recommended

Hello,

First of all, I don't mean to be a jerk, but in the past everyone I knew had problems with their HP laptops overheating and fried motherboards.

I remember I used to work at computer repair shop back in 2013 and people with HPs were the most frequent customers.

Also, I remember in 2011 my mom purchased a HP laptop and she wasn't a heavy user at all. We were choosing between MacBook Air and HP, but she decided to go with the HP because of the screen size. The price was the same. Anyways, the motherboard fried out of the blue and I remember she was even crying and saying she thought the laptop would last much longer than this. It broke my heart.

Then my sister had the same problem with HP. She had cheap HP, so I didn't care. By now everyone I know, every single person I know in real life avoids HP laptops and whenever someone asks me for advice on what laptop to buy my first answer is "Not HP" and I've given the very same answer to people for about 8 years now.

I work in IT Support and none of the companies I've worked at use HP laptops. I haven't seen HP laptops anywhere in years, but I remember they used to be very popular. I was wondering if HP laptops are as bad as they used to be? Honest answers please.
