HP Pavilion dv6-3125sl Entertainment Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I own an HP Pavilion dv6 3125sl model that I have bought. Unfortunately it's missing a battery. I am trying to buy one, and I found one on Aliexpress (https://aliexpress.ru/item/1005006430495508.html?spm=a2g2w.detail.similar_rcmd.0.4db335d5Y3o4t1&mixe... and i was wondering, if I could buy that one  and put it to my laptop. Thanks in advance.

Hi, @Bogdanbotez

Enter your notebook's serial number in the search window at the link below and it should provide the battery part number and description:

HP PartSurfer

Use the HP part number in your search for a new battery.

From the information I could find, the battery has this original HP part number and description:

593554-001
Battery (Primary) - 6-cell lithium-Ion (Li-Ion), 2.55Ah, 55Wh (MU06055)

That part number was superseded by this part number:  593553-001

>Generally NO. Purposely, to prevent FIREs! Each battery has an internal BMS (battery management system) PCB, that 'talks to" the corresponding BMS hardware and Firmware "in" your Laptop. AND... your HP A.C. Adapter/Charger must also be detected as a "genuine" HP charger, BY the laptop's Firmware.

>A non-genuine Charger or one supplying the wrong Voltage and/or Current will be STOPPED from charging the laptop/s Battery. It 'may' be allowed to 'run' the laptop, but likely at only half-speed (CPU will be throttled purposely... again, to prevent overheating and possible Fires.

>Many sellers exist on eBay and Amazon; just buy the "correct" Battery.
