HP-Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This morning I turn on my laptop(HP-Omen i7) and for some reason the audio was not working.

The error:

1.It says that "No speakers or headphones are plugged in".

2.When I went to Device Manager, under Other Devices, it appears an exclamation mark on the Intel High Definition Audio. If clicked it says that  "The drivers for this device are not installed." and also "There are no compatible drivers for this device."

3.If I click on Sound,Video and game controllers I only have 2 drivers(One NVIDIA and one Intel Display Audio)

What I tried:

1.I tried to reinstall the audio drivers

2.I reinstalled the Intel HD Graphics card

3.I've updated the Windows

4.Restarted the laptop multiple times

5.I tried to update the specific driver(like some tutorials out there show) but I couldn't manage to make it work because it says that it couldn't find any updates and if I chose to do it manually I don't have the option shown in the tutorial.

6.No, it's not muted,I have checked that

7.The audio works only when connected with headphones(I have some bluetooth ones)

The only 2 things that I can think of(besides asking here) is to get an app that will update all the software(but I have to pay like 30 pounds for it) or take it to some repair shop.

So if anyone has any other solution it would be much appriciated, thanks in advance!

This morning I had the same problem on HP 15-da0001nc. Windows update updated some intel components and sound stopped working. Only thing that helped me is to go to Device Manager - System Devices and roll back driver on  Intel Smart Sound controller or something like that. It changed back to High Definition Audio controller and sound was back on.
