Dear Community,

I replaced Intel Optane NVMe to Crucial M.2 2280 P1 series 500 Gb PCI-E 3.0 x4 QLC CT500P1SSD8  on hp pavilion x360 convertible 14-cd0006ur and I would like switch disks to ACHI mode instead of RAID mode. BIOS FW F.35 Rev.A is blocked to switch to ACHI mode instead of RAID mode.  I would like to flash F.12 Rev.A   23.7 MB, hope it is full function , but System Board ID is 850E. I need BIOS FW F.12 Rev.A for 8486 System Board ID. BIOS FW F.12 Rev.A is compatible with 14-cd0006ur.

Thank you and your advise is highly appreciated

@RamilKh Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you would like to switch to ACHI mode.

The storage connection can never be anything but AHCI as it is a native SATA machine. IDE/RAID is not and never has been an option. You do not need to change it TO AHCI you could not change it FROM AHCI if you wanted.

NVME is not AHCI. AHCI is SATA. AHCI vs. IDE vs. RAID has no impact on whether an NVME M.2 SSD will be seen.
