HP Compaq Presario CQ56-115DX Notebook PC

Product: XG809UA,

⬇️ Following details came from CPU-Z  ⤵️

[Motherboard] Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard, Model: 1604  88.17, Chipset: AMD  785GX   REV. 00, Southbridge: AMD  SB800  REV. 40.

[BIOS] Brand: Hewlett-Packard, Version: F.16-AMD AGESA DanNiPI V1.0.0.3

[PROCESSOR] Name: AMD V140, Code Name: Champlain, Package: Socket S1 (638), Technology:  45 NM,

I am trying to upgrade the CPU PROCESSOR to a AMD ATHLON II N370: Marking No. AMN370DCR22GM and I have been told I might need to update the BIOS but do not know how. My original AMD V140 CPU I belive died on me because the computer was in sleep mode and when I went back to use it. It will somewhat power on but will not boot. The f12 [wifi] button will light up a solid orange, the caps lock will flash a solid white light 1x every second. I am thinking that is a POST CODE=1 or LED BLINK CODE=1 which tells me CPU not functional or something along those lines. I purchased the N370 a couple years back but when I installed it I ran into the same situation I am having now. Caps lock button would flash a solid white led light 1x every second, the f12 [wifi] button would be a steady solid orange led light, also the fan will kick on & you hear it running (that also happens now as well with the V140 CPU].

SO MY INQUIRY WOULD BE HOW DO I UPGRADE THE BIOS TO SEE IF IT WILL ACCEPT MY AMD ATHLON II N370 CPU. I HAVE NEVER UPDATED A BIOS BEFORE AND DO NOT KNOW ANY OF THE "COMPUTER VERBAGE" SO PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME IN LAME-MAN TERMS PLEASE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE AND I APPRECIATE THE HELP..

I tried what the video recommended and I did not get a response from laptop besides the exact same LED light blink code.
