There is no bootable OS on the drive
Run the ubunti install and be sure to allow it to remove partitions on the disk.

In the "Boot Options" tab photo that I am re-posting after the line that says "POST Hotkey Delay (sec)" when I had the original Hard Drive in the space that is currently empty it said Hitachi 750 GB Hard Drive and some other stuff. This section is now blank. This is what I mean when I say that the Intel SSD is not identified by the BIOS if it was it would be listed here. It would say something to the extent of Intel 530 SATA III 240 GB SSD. Instead it says nothing at all and is just blank.
As for loading the OS. I tried this before I made the first post to this forum. I tried to load Windows and it said something to the extent of no mass storage device detected. Windows installation can not continue. It then was essentially frozen and would do nothing more until the whole laptop was rebooted. So not only is the BIOS not recognizing the Intel SSD in the "Boot Options" tab WIndows is also stating that no there is no mass storage drive detected in the system.

I think I'm done here guys. The Intel SSD works perfectly fine in three separate systems I have ran it in both laptops and desktops both old and new with no issues and it is recognized immediately and correctly by the BIOS in each of them. I have used it as a boot drive, as a slave drive, heck I have even used it in an external enclosure as a USB SSD backup.
Today as a last Hail Mary I even downloaded and updated the firmware with an Intel provided .ISO bootable for Intel 530 SSD drives which even though it successfully updated the SSD firmware of course made absolutely no difference. The BIOS still doesn't see the drive. Baring being able to have resolved my issue it would have been nice for someone to even concede that there was some sort of compatibility issue instead of assuming that I was some sort of moron incapable of tying my own shoes. All that said I would like to thank you for attempting (albeit unsuccessfully) multiple times to help me. Take care.

Possibly your laptop is not fully UEFI bios and cannot boot a UEFI OS
On that ubuntu USB flash, change the option to MBR instead of GPT on the partition scheme
I have put windows 11 on even older motherboards but MBR is needed.
Use a small USB flash like 8gb or less as some older system cannot handle 32gb due to bios limitations.

It certainly sounds that for the Parent's support, it would be better to install Windows 7.
Cloning should work.
