Hi. I bought a HP elitebook 840 g10 used from a guy that apparently works with some form of IT. The guy was super nice and helpful. I don't know to much about computers..
Trying to configurate the fingerprint scan, but it says Windows hello is not available. Tried to install drivers from HP, but it's not working when installed.
The BIOS is also locked, and he dosen't know the password. Is it any way around BIOS, or delete it or some sort of fix to this?
Windows 11 pro.
16gb RAM. 13th gen intel(R) core(TM) i5-1345U.
Don't know if something else is relevant?

Hi:
I suggest that you ask the person if they will accept a return of the PC.
Unfortunately, as of March 1, 2019, HP support stopped providing SMC.bin file that was used to clear BIOS passwords from HP business class notebooks.
If you contact HP support, you will be informed to replace the system board.

Not that it matters in your situation, but the HP forum rules of participation prohibit anyone from providing any assistance with circumventing/removing passwords and whatnot, Rule 4.d.
