I am planning to seek assistance on an HP forum regarding the upgrade of the BIOS system on my HP 15 Notebook PC with product number N5Y05UA#ABA. The BIOS vendor is Insyde, BIOS version is F.37, model 15-f272wm and the serial number is [Personal Information Removed].  Currently, the notebook runs on Ubuntu 20.04, but it originally had Windows 10 installed. Can you guide me on how to upgrade the BIOS system?

 

I went to https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-15-f200-notebook-pc-series/7527799/model/8888505
Is this the right one? 

 

I chose windows 0S, then windows 10 (64 bit)

under BIOS I see: 

HP Firmware Pack (Intel Processors) | F.45 Rev.A | 17.0 MB | May 28,2020

I have F.37.

will the f.45 work?
