Hi everyone,
I noticed something strange regarding the BIOS updates for the HP ProBook 440 G8.
A few days ago, I successfully downloaded and installed BIOS version 01.24.01 from the official HP website. However, when I checked the support page again today, that version has disappeared. The website is now offering version 01.23.00 Rev.A as the latest available update, and the previous FTP download links for 01.24.01 are no longer working.
Since I have already updated my system to 01.24.01, I have a few concerns:
  1. Was version 01.24.01 pulled due to a critical bug or stability issue?
  2. Is it safe to continue using my laptop with this version, or should I attempt to roll back to 01.23.00?
  3. Are there any known side effects I should watch out for?
Any information or official clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @youngzen

That version is missing from my Zbook power G7 model as well; I think it's a mistake on HP's part in the version release notes. This version 01.24 enables the option in the BIOS to disable Microsoft security certificates.
