Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi guys i have a HP 17-AK014NA laptop that has a DVD RW drive but i am looking to upgrade this to a BluRay RW drive for burning data etc. can anybody recommend a suitable drive that would be compatible for this model

I understand that you would like to upgrade the BLU RAY drive.

 

(HP does not recommend upgrades as the device is equipped with parts that perform at its optimal performance and also, the upgradeable parts listed in HP articles are purely for your ease, though the decision to upgrade will be at your own discretion)

 

 

I have checked the manual 

 

Fixed optical drive Fixed, serial SATA, 9.0-mm tray load DVD+/-RW Double-Layer SuperMulti writer

 

HP did not offer a Blu-Ray option on the laptop.

 

However, you can go for the external blue-ray drive.
