HP 255 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC (50J80AV)

Hi! I just purchased an HP 255 G9 Notebook. I noticed that the backlight keyboard will turn off after 30 seconds. I did checked the BIOS setting I selected Never to turn but once I login back to windows its turning off after 30 seconds. Any ideas or is this an on going issue with the HP 255 G9?

Unfortunately, that is by design.

All of HP's laptops with backlit  keyboards do that.

" I did checked the BIOS setting I selected Never to turn but once I login back to windows its turning off after 30 seconds"

I suspect you are talking about a power setting. There is no BIOS backlighting option that I have ever heard of or seen in BIOS.

That setting  will not have any effect on the backlit keyboard.
