Hey, I have a problem with my backlit keyboard. Yesterday, the backlit keyboard was infact working, but I touched something on accident and it has turned off. I tried every function, but without succes. Any ideas, what key should switch my backlit keyboard on?

You mean that your keyboard backlight was accidentally turned off? Look for an f key with a backlight symbol (it is the f3 for my EliteBook 840 G3). Once you find it,  press it and the fn key  simultaneously to get backlight turned back on.

BTW, I couldn't find your model EliteBook 830 G3. If you need to know the backlight symbol, let me know and I'll post its screenshot.

Hello, I’ve written it wrongly. My model is hp elitebook 820g3. F3 + fn does not work. I don’t know what’s wrong, because none of my function keys have a backlight symbol. (My f2 and f3 are blank). Thanks for replies.

You are welcome. If you don't see any f key with a backlight icon, most likely you don't have this feature but you are saying you had backlight on up until something happened recently so I'm confused.🙄

See HP's article below about laptop backlit keyboards. It shows a backlit symbol and some troubleshoots:

Hello, I don’t understand what you don’t understand. Basically, I pressed some keys on accident, and it has turned off. Btw, I’ve read that article multiple times, but it did not help me. Thanks for replies.
