Just purchased what was supposed to have been a HP Pavilion15-bc499na Gaming laptop but what i received was the standard HP Pavilion15-bc499na with the silver hinged screen & no backlit keyboard, i am looking to swap out the existing keyboard with the backlit one (i think the backlit keyboard model No for the 15-bc499na is L22938-xx1 or L22938-001). Does anyone know if & where i can purchase one & would this be a simple replacement or is it a major operation.
Thanks

Hi,
You are correct the part number is L22938-xx1 for "Top cover with backlit keyboard in acid green finish for use in model numbers 15-bc400~15-bc499 and 15-bc500~15-bc599"
UK code 031 and US code 001. Nearly impossible to find and if found very expensive as it is the whole top cover. You could try nearest HP service center.
Anyway it is also a big job to replace as you need to remove all the parts of the PC from the old top cover and place them in the new one.
As the service manual states on page 69 "The top cover with keyboard remains after removing all other spared parts from the computer"

Hope it helps,
