Product: HP ZBook Firefly 14 G7 Base Model Mobile Workstation

My backlit keyboard on/off button is f9 and when I press it, it does nothing anymore.

 

I've tried uninstalling my keyboard drivers and also going into the bios to see if I disabled it, which I haven't. My hp support assistant says everything is up to date and my windows 10 has no updates. I know my f9 key works but seems it just doesn't want to turn on my backlit keyboard.
