HP ENVY - 17m-ce0013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I took my working HP Envy into B... B..s for a replacement battery. Returned home with the Envy with the new battery and for some reason it would not turn on. Returned to the B...B..s store with the Envy, tech guy said the MB was fried!!!! He could however recommend a sales guy to help me buy a replacement laptop and that they could dispose of the old one for me if I wanted too? Returned home again  with the Envy and switched it on just to re-confirm and behold the thing turn on and worked, but now refuses to switch on again for a second time. Could the fault be a faulty SMD capacitor or something minor and not the whole MB? My husband suspects foul- play!!.

I see that your HP ENVY - 17m-Ce0013dx does not power on.


I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to perform a hard reset on the unit.
1> Turn off the laptop, disconnect the power adapter.
2> Press and hold the F6 and power button for 20 seconds.
3> Then connect the power cable back and try turning on the laptop.
