I was having issues with my battery where it would shut off almost immediately when I would unplug my charging cord, even though the battery was at 100%. It also would repeatedly disconnect/reconnect while I was trying to charge, which was very frustrating.
So I went and tried to find a replacement battery, but HP.com doesnt offer the part. The battery says to use HP part 715050-001.
Once it wasnt on HP.com, I just googled PX03XL HP Battery (which was on the battery) and found a battery on Walmart.com. Long story short, my battery doesnt repeatedly disconnect/reconnect anymore, so that is nice. I can also unplug my charging cable, but it will almost always shut down within 30 min or so. Sometimes it shuts down in 2 min, sometimes it lasts 30 min. I have no idea why. I figured maybe part of the problem is that it isnt an HP Certified battery, but HP doesnt even offer this battery anymore!
Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions for a fix? At this point I'm about ready to just buy a new laptop, which is super frustrating because my laptop runs beautifully aside from the battery issue. Not sure if I'll get an HP again or not after this...
