Hi,
a year ago i bought this victus 16 for my girlfriend. when I tested it, I already noticed that the gpu mhz was 200-300 lower than the same model in a number of reviews that I looked at while I was figuring out which laptop I wanted to choose, but at the time I thought that was more likely due to the silicon lottery.
Now to a year I found out that the gpu is overheating with average temps of 86 and hotspot of 102 degrees. I decided to replace the thermal paste and clean the laptop fans. I have done this many times and have always had good results. Not this time though.
When opening the laptop I found out that the copper plate that is welded to the heat pipes is not flat, but crooked. As a result, the copper plate is skewed on the GPU. This should never have passed inspection. half of the gpu doesn't make contact, hence the bad temperatures.
Can I get a replacement cooling system for this? I can of course assemble it myself, but no idea on Hp that can send such loose parts
