I bought this laptop February of 2020. It has had very little use. It is not a daily use item, I play music sometimes and surf the web some.   It has been working fine all this time. I went to turn it on the other day and it was just dead. I tried a new power cord I disconnected the battery and reconnected and tried to power it up per YouTube Iinstructions. Nothing. I took it in to a computer company for diagnostic and a guy tells me the motherboard is no good and it's $1,000 for a motherboard. I know the guy is not trying to scam me because the diagnostic is free and I don't have to get it repaired from him. He's more than happy to just give it back to me.  I paid $1,300 for the computer. How does this happen? Two and a half years of minimal use? Are there any other options? I can't afford to replace this right now.

Need the full model number or product code of the laptop:

A replacement motherboard can be found for much less than $1000. Not sure if the quoted price is labor and parts or just parts. $500 all in would be more like it. Have him give it back to you.
