Hello everyone,

I am facing a serious concern theses days, I hope you can help.

In fact my pc batery stops charging after 86% and I really don't get the issue.

After 86% the computer displays plugged in charge 15 min left to full charge but after more then an hour it's still 86%.

I am wondering , my batery might be dying.

I need your help please.

Thank you.

The battery report shows that you are still getting 4+ hours out of a full charge.  That is quite reasonable.

I do suggest running the battery test that is part of the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility or the same test in the HP Support Assistantr.

It appears that the battery needs to be recalibrated so that what you see as 86% becomes 100%.

Running the test should calibrate the battery for you.

Kindly keep us in the loop.

Good morning Sir erico

Thank you for your assistance,

I ran the battery check and  actually everything is okay regarding the Battery and the Ac adapter. But the issue is still there.

Is there any other way I can recalibrate the battery, please?

Please see attached file for the battery and Ac adapter test result.

Thank you and God bless.

According to the battery-report and other results you have stated, I can't say that I see an issue as being present.

You are getting battery use times and  storage capacity that is in line with what should be expected.

If there is a requiment to calibrate the battery, the HP Support Assistant or the HP Hardware Diagnostic UEFI battery test will let you know if there is a calibration required.

The ability to be able to force a calibration used to be present, but it is AFAIK no longer an option.

I can suggest that you try charging the notebook overnight while it is turned off to see if it achieves 100% charge status. Normally the power/charge LED will be white if a notebook is at fully charged status.
