9480M
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have a 9480M which has worked flawlessly since purchasing new until the last main windows 10 update.  Battery meter shows battery 1 not present.  Battery 2 fully charged.  Battery test shows the exact opposite.  Now only getting 2 to 4 hours of use.  Tried all the battery resets published, new battery, tested with multiple power bricks.  Inspected battery connections

But no success.  Anyone else had or having this issue?

Thankyou...

I ran into a similar situation on a HP All-in-One a few months back.  The user upgraded to Win10 v20H2 through an Optional Update and when they rebooted, they got a message of battery level being ZERO, so the PC shut down!  OF course, the AIO does not have a battery, so there was no workaround for this.  I restored the PC to Win10 v20H1 (20.04) and instructed the user to NOT accept any more Optional Updates -- and it has been fine since.  So, if you did a similar update, that could be the issue.

Thanks for the feedback - unfortunately no option to restore back to a previous version of windows 10 that corrects the issue.  Windows tells me I cant restore anything older than 10 days prior.  I guess I could go back to windows 7 which was far more stable.  At this point I have a laptop with limited battery life or have to carry the power brick everywhere I go.
