Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have a EliteBook 840 G2, and it won't charge. I assumed it was the battery, but the original battery is fine. Even so, I got a replacement and installed it in my laptop. The problem continues. I've tried most things I've seen. I ran it through hp support system and it said the battery needs to be replaced (which I already did). I use it while it's plugged in and it's otherwise in perfect condition.

Your laptop is from the 2015 model year.

There is no way the original battery is OK. They just are not made to last that long.

Did you replace the battery with an HP Genuine part numbered battery or with a "compatible" battery?

Often a "compatible" battery just will not work as expected.
