Product: 7FQ27AV
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Purchased a 7FQ27AV less than 2 years ago and attaining a battery 601 issue when booting up my laptop.  Battery no longer holds a charge and requires A/C to function.  I have ran the Windows UEFI battery check and denotes that the battery is not detected.  UEFI before boot locks up during battery test.  This is an internal battery.  Does this type of product known to have battery issues and become unreliable after 2 years?  As a consumer would I need to replace the battery every two years?  What should I be doing different to allow a longer charge of the battery?  What are my options in rectifying this situation?  No longer have warranty.

Your option is to replace the battery. Experienced laptop users expect to replace the battery at somewhere around 2.5 to 4 years of use ordinarily. You got a little less than average in the battery lottery and if the battery is not detected there are no tests to run. If interested we can provide a manual and links to purchase a new battery. Replacement is not as difficult as you may think.
