I have tried following several steps to find a solution to my battery not charging while the computer is awake. The computer charges correctly when the computer is closed or sleeping.
My failure ID code is GLVUHH-8SVC64-XD7UQK-C19713. I am unable to complete the diagnosis for this code because it is not accepting my product ID: 1EK96AV.
I have tried using a different power adapter - still not recognized.
I have tried updating drivers for anything available in Windows Update and on the HP website for my computer.
I Have tried uninstalling the driver for the charger adapter, turning off the computer, holding the power button for a full minute, and restarting the computer.
I am unable to update BIOS, which is available, because the computer needs to have the AC adapter plugged in. Since it doesn't recognize it's plugged in, I can't update BIOS.
