Hello,

I have a relatively new HP laptop (about six months old), and I’ve never been able to successfully complete a battery calibration using HP Support Assistant. At first, I assumed it might be because the battery was new and shipped empty. However, I’ve attempted the calibration several times over the past months, but I have always been unsuccessful.

Recently, I disabled battery power management in the BIOS and fully charged the battery to 100%, leaving it plugged in for about 4–5 hours. Despite that, the calibration still failed. I tried again the following day, but with the same result.

HP Support Assistant indicates that if calibration fails repeatedly, the battery may need to be replaced — but this battery is new.

Is this a common issue, and how can I resolve it?

Thank you in advance for your help.
