Bonjour,
Cordialement

Hello,
do the following trick.
(1) Open the windows device manager and uninstall the battery and battery management system and shutdown your operating system.
(2) Remove battery, remove ac adapter, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
(Note: If you cannot remove battery because you have to open the notebook and don't want to do it, just start the notebook and go directly into the bios (F1/F2/F10) and let the notebook running (don't connect the AC adapter !) until it is switching off. In case you are doing this you can skip the procedure "press and hold the power button for 30 seconds")
(3) Install battery, plugin ac adapter and wait until the battery is fully charged (don't start the operating system !) and check the charging led.
(4) If you have no charging led, wait at least 2 hours ...
(5) Start your operating system, now the windows battery management system is synchronized with your installed battery. Normally it should show 98-100% battery level.
(6) If your battery level is too low and you are loosing your battery capacity too fast, your battery has to be replaced...
best regards

Hello,
I have an HP ENVY m6 1162SF laptop and just changed the battery.
I'm on Windows 10 Professional 21H2.
I have in HP support assistant the notification: Battery calibration to be performed.
So I used HP Support Assistant's 'Test Battery' app and it asks me to calibrate my battery but in HP Support Assistant it is not possible to do so.
So I did the following manipulations:
- Disconnected the power from my computer
- Turns off the computer with the On / Off button
- Restarted the computer by hitting the 'Esc' key
- Selected the 'F2' key
- Select the option 'Test the battery'
The test lasted a few minutes and I got the message 'Calibrate not support'
My problem is that I can't calibrate my laptop and the alert in HP Support Assistant is still there and I can't clear this alert.
Is there a way to suppress this alert in HP Support Assistant?
If yes, how ?
Thanks in advance for your help, thoughts and answers.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. I performed your manipulations for PC having no battery charge LED when the PC is off and plugged in the AC adapter and the battery calibration alert has disappeared in HP Support Assistant. Thanks again for your help
