Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows app, I ran a Component Test on the Battery, the batter check resulted in FAILED and the Failure ID = MCQ8HH-87HA7F-XD7X7G-C09713, my assumption is there is a problem with the battery pack. The laptop is not charging when plugged in but the white light (dot) does show at the plug-in location. The battery icon on the taskbar shows as 0% (plugged in), I left it charging overnight. Yesterday, I had removed the battery pack, while plugged in, and placed it back into place which did show the battery started to charge as the battery icon on the task bar started to the normal charging animation but this was only temporary. The laptop shuts off when unplugged. Can anyone help out with translating the Failure ID?
