Please I need help in solving this problem/issues. I intend to ship the laptop back to the USA for a fix but they told me the warranty on it has expired. I am so confused on what to do because the notebook is barely 8 Months old. I don't know it's hardware or a software issues, because the battery started to take too long to charge fully and also started acting up. I don't know if there is a solution or if I can send it to hp USA for a fix... I will gladly appreciate any solution or idea.

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Community! 🎉
I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:
First, let's update BIOS/UEFI firmware. You can refer to the following YouTube video: Update Your HP Computer BIOS from Windows | HP Computers | HP Support
Also, you can refer this guide: HP Notebook PCs - 601 or 60X error is displayed on a black screen | HP® Support
In the document provided, there is a step to check your battery health in BIOS UEFI. Kindly follow the steps mentioned in the guide.
Next, you can uninstall and reinstall battery drivers after booting into the device/windows:
- Press Win + X and select "Device Manager."
- Locate "Batteries" and expand it.
- Right-click on the battery-related drivers and uninstall them.
- Restart your laptop, and the drivers will be reinstalled automatically.
Then we can perform a battery report, which can provide details like cycle counts and the capacity of the battery.
Follow these steps:
- Open a command prompt as an administrator.
- Type powercfg /batteryreport and press Enter.
- This will generate a battery report in HTML format. Open the report and check for any issues or anomalies.
I’m pretty confident this will do the trick! But hey, if you run into any bumps along the way or need a little extra help, just give me a shout! I’ve got your back. 💪
