Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hey everyone,

I'm having some trouble with my brand new HP Victus 15 laptop with a GTX 1650 graphics card. The battery seems to be draining incredibly quickly, even with the power management settings optimized. Specifically, the laptop is consuming 1 percent of battery life in just one minute, which seems way too fast.

I've already tried changing the settings to use the integrated graphics card through the Nvidia control panel, and I also set the power management mode to adaptive power and the battery to power efficiency mode. Unfortunately, none of these changes have helped much.

It's worth noting that the laptop's battery cycle count is only 3, so I don't think it's a problem with the battery itself. I did just upgrade the RAM from 8 to 16 GB, but I don't think that should be causing such a drastic reduction in battery life.

Does anyone have any ideas for what might be causing this issue? I'm hoping to figure out a solution soon, as it's really impacting my ability to use the laptop for more than a few minutes at a time.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
