Hi,
I have been getting the following error. I tried to trun HP diagnostics and it said the battery needs calibration so I ran that but it just restarted and then when I checked the results it showed cancelled. Can you help me on what steps to follow now? and if i need to replace the battery or not?

Yes. Replace the battery. If it is over 2 years old then this is not unexpected. If the laptop is much newer than that its possible there is something else going on, but 99% of the time these issues are solved by replacing the battery.

Always a chance. You have nothing to lose by trying but I think it is unlikely to fix the problem.
