Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

Pavilion 360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop won't turn on without the power adaptor connection, so I ran a check on battery. Below is the failure ID I have received. I have recently changed my battery because the previous one failed and I had to replace.

Failure ID: MC7063-9RBALW-GXGGQ1-C08V03

What does it mean? Do I need to replace my battery again? It hasn't even been 10 months since the replacement.

Hi:

The failure code information does not provide any more info than what you already discovered.

Most of the code is used to generate your PC's serial number.

Here is the report generated by the code you posted, minus your notebook's serial number.

Failure Information
Failure ID Tag Checksum HP Serial Number Test Date Failure Code Device Includes Error Message

I would conclude based on the above information, that the battery is no good and needs to be replaced.

You may want to consider buying a different brand battery if you did not buy a genuine HP battery.
