HP Spectre X360 2019
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi I have the Spectre x360 2019 model and have had battery issues from day 1. Bought the product in December 2019 but never got around to trying to sort it due to work.

Anyway, one of the thigns that came up in the HP assistant advice was to go to advanced settings in the BIOS Utility but when I restart the laptop and hit F10 there is no advanced section.

Does anyone know how to get to that?

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

May I know what exactly is the issue with the Battery?

Hi, thanks for your response.

My issue is that even on minimal use the laptop battery drains quickly when not plugged in. The advertised life was 22 hours and I know that's usually in ideal settings but this thing only last 3-4 hours. I use it for emails, run a few analytics applications and a bit of Excel. I hardly use it to watch YouTube or videos as this is a work laptop so it's just a bit odd that I can't even use it for a whole day when I'm out of the office.

I wanted to know if it's something to do with fan settings or other power settings I can try. The 3-4 hours is even with the back-light dimmed to lower settings to save energy.

Please let me know if you have ideas I could try to help this situation.

It depends which battery you have on the Notebook

To assist you better please provide me with the complete Notebook model or the product number

You can refer to this Link: hp.care/2bygf7l for help in locating the Product Number.

3 - 4 hrs regular continuous usage is actually normal if it's a 3 Cell or 4 Cell Battery

Thank you I found it - it is this one - https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06493687

4-cell is the battery.

Didn't realise the performance would be like that on this. Were there different sized cell's on other Spectre x360's?
