I had a battery expire whilst waiting for a new one to arrive. I was running on the transformer not the battery.

 

The fuse for the power supply plug blew and I could not use the computer at all till I got the battery.

 

Now I have the new battery it will not charge. The computer sees the battery - the HP support assistant says it is 7% charged and also says there is no battery.

 

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics says it passes the battery check.

 

The battery report test I have run from the CMD prompt gives

I have read all the material I have been able to find to get to this point.

 

Am I getting to the point of having to replace the system board?
