Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop immediately shut down when battery is at 40%. And after when I turn it on it didn't turn on till I get it connected to the charger and when it comes to the home screen battery meter shows charging after 40%. It repeatedly happens in the middle of the work.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is turning off when the battery reaches 40%,

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, then reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager.

 

Here is how you do it.

 

Step 1: Click the Windows “Start” button and right-click “Computer.”

Step 2: Click “Manage,” then “Device Manager.”

Step 3: Click the “Batteries” section. A list of devices will appear.

Step 4: Right-click the “Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” device and click “Uninstall.”

Step 5: Click the “Action” menu item and “Scan for Hardware Changes” to reinstall the driver.

 

Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.

The things you are saying are good and well enough but you recommend updating the bios I already tried to do this several months ago which results in crashing the system and went into a loop repeatedly. So it takes me a time to recover from that loop and after that, I didn't update the bios.
