HP ENVY Notebook - 13-d004na (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had my laptop for about 3 years now, used to get an incredible 10 hours battery life!

Now I can't use it unless it's connected to the charger, and the battery never charges past 0%.

It also gets so overheated to the point where I'm afraid to use it, and the fan sounds like an aeroplane taking off!

I've had this issue for at least a year, but can't seem to find anywhere that sells/replaces (genuine) batteries for my laptop model, including HP's own part store...

You wanted genuine. This is a third party compatible replacement from a good seller through amazon prime:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Green-816238-850-816243-005-HSTNN-IB7E-VR03045XL-Black/dp/B07H8FHCCH/ref=sr...

Genuine from a seller in China through UK eBay:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-VR03XL-Battery-816243-005-HSTNN-IB7E-816238-850-For-HP-Envy-13-D-...

HP Parts Store UK does not have them which would be normal. The Store only stocks batteries for maybe 2 years or until the original production run is gone for warranty replacements, etc.

Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if you got the info you needed.
