How do I find out what battery I need without disassembling my Pavilion notebook computer?

Its specs

It uses 4-cell 41WHr 2.8Ah lithium-ion battery part #  800049-001 which is N/A from HP stock

 

           https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=M1X96UA

 

You can use part # and search online such as Newegg, Amazon  ... eBay. It is an old style battery, very cheap and easy to replace.

Thank you all for your replies. I got  battery and I even got it installed. Now, I don't know if HP's pouting because it isn't an official HP part or if there's something else wrong. The HP Support Assistant won't or can't detect a battery but i recognizes that it 91% charged. I suspect HP is pouting.
