Product: HP Notebook - 14-cf1051od
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I'm trying to replace the battery on a HP Notebook 14 CF1051od, an HP authorized reseller shipped me a L11421-423 battery instead of a L11119-855 battery. Will the L11421-423 battery work with the a HP Notebook 14 CF1051od? Their supplier claims they are identical just have different part numbers.

Manual lists only this one:

 

(11)Battery, 3 cell, 41 Whr, 3.6 Ah Li-ion L11119-855

 

This eBay seller with almost 350,000 feedback says that number and L11421-423 are interchangeable.

Generally if it fits into place its going to work fine as battery designers do not make 2 non-interchangeable batteries identical.
