Battery Replacement for my OMEN laptop

My laptop battery died and it only works now if plugged in

I talked to an HP agent over the phone yesterday who asked me to provide the serial number to identify the battery type so that I can order it on line - see data provided below

According to the HP parts store link, the battery is on backorder.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to contact the authorized HP supplier in Australia to see if they have a source of supply.

Otherwise you can do a search on Amazon or eBay by the HP 917724-855 battery part number and see if you can buy a compatible aftermarket battery that references that part number.
