Dear HP Support Team,
I am writing to request assistance with a battery issue on my HP laptop (Model: HP 15s-fr2xxx, 11th Gen Intel Core i3, Windows 11).
Recently, I noticed that the battery has started swelling, which I understand is a serious safety concern. The laptop now shuts down immediately when unplugged, and the HP Support Assistant shows the battery’s capacity has degraded to around 41%. The laptop is out of warranty, but I would like to replace the battery with a genuine HP part (HT03XL / L11119-855) as soon as possible.
I called an HP-authorized service center, but they quoted me ₹10,000, which seems unusually high for just a battery replacement. As a loyal HP customer, I’m seeking clarification on:
The actual price of a genuine HT03XL battery from HP
The standard service charge for battery replacement (either onsite or at a service center)
Whether HP offers on-site battery replacement for out-of-warranty cases
If possible, please recommend an alternate HP service center near Jaipur that can help at a standard rate
Please guide me on the safest and most cost-effective way to proceed. I am ready to purchase the battery directly from HP if available and would prefer official support for proper installation and safety.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Sincerely,
HP customer

That is 116 US Dollars so a bit high but not unexpected. HP will no longer have that battery in stock so no way to find out a standard price. Genuine HP batteries are hard to find in the Indian market. There is only one HP Service Center near Jaipur that works on consumer laptops. See below. You might consider an after market solution as I believe you can get that battery from a reputable third party for perhaps 1500 rupees and then find a less expensive labor option.
