Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

 

I have a HP Pavilion 15-bc006na. Suddenly the battery has stopped taking any charge and the HP Battery Check comes back with the failure id: REOOW. 

Battery Serial number: 19161 05/25/2016

CT Number: 6FRQP21CF27LT7

 

I looked on the HP website and it didn't show any results for this battery under either of the numbers (idk what a CT number is).

Even if I could find one, would it even be possible to replace it as I cannot access the battery? (I am not under warranty)

What is the best plan of action and is it dangerous to still use the laptop with the battery in, but plugged into the charger?

Hi,

It is not dangerous to use the PC plugged in (even all the time)

The part number for the battery is 849910-850 

You could perform an online search with part number to find a compatible battery

Example
