Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
Hi, I'm a little confused about which replacement battery to buy. My laptop has an SR03XL with part number L08855-855 and specifications of 11.55 V, 52.5 Wh, and 4550 mAh. Will one with the following specifications work?
SR04XL 15.4 V, 54 Wh, 3,500 mAh.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
No, that battery will not work. You should not buy a battery with a 15.4 V specification to replace your original 11.55 V battery.
Mixing up these voltages can permanently damage your laptop's motherboard components or cause charging failures. The reason for the confusion is that HP uses two distinct internal configurations for the Pavilion Gaming 15 series depending on the hardware tier:
SR03XL (3-cell layout): Runs at 11.55 V. This is the exact configuration your laptop’s internal power delivery system is mapped to handle.
SR04XL (4-cell layout): Runs at 15.4 V.
Because the voltage levels must match your original unit exactly, you must stick exclusively to an 11.55 V SR03XL replacement battery pack with the matching part number L08855-855.
Kind Regards,
