Hello,
Can someone please advise if the battery serial number can be checked without physically removing the back number? And is there a high capacity battery option for this model of laptop which I can upgrade to??
Thank you.
Regards,
Zaim

If you have HP Support Assistant there is a battery test in there and when you run it at the end you can get advanced information which will include the battery serial number.
This is the only specified battery:
(15) Battery (3-cell, 41-WHr, 3.6-AHr, Li-ion) 920070-855
Since the battery is internal there is really no way to make one with added cells for longer runtime since it would not fit in the limited space available.

I am afraid my HP Support Assistant does not look like your nor does it have those options.... so frustrating..I wish things could be straight forward
I am going to reinstall HP Support Assistant, what a paint...just bought few days ago, I have not even installed anything on it, it is fresh with the default setup, and all this hassle...for nothing..I should have bought an apple!

My HP Pavilion, 15-cc044cl, doesn't have this screen in HP Support, either. OP mentioned reinstalling HP Support Assistant. How is that accomplished, please and thank you?

Sorry, I just lied. Found the battery check in the Support Assistance. Just had to hunt around a bit. Thank you for your expertise and time. You tech support guys are the unsung heros of the internet.
And just for the record, every PC I've owned for the past 15 years was and is a HP and they're just bullet proof. Also, every printer I own is a HP. I'm HP all the way.....
