I ran the component test for my battery and I got the Failed code MCW6JF-7H091D-MFPV6K-C0B403. Can someone tell me what that means please?

Hi @txgirl18,
The test failure means you need to replace the battery. The actual code is 601 which means
"If Primary (internal) Battery (601) appears in the alert message, it means the measured storage capacity of the primary (internal) battery is less than 25% of the original storage capacity. The number “601” denotes the associated error code that is recorded in the system log."
The part number for your battery is 776622-001 You can perform online search with part number and find quality compatible or original battery
Example:
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=776622-001
or tey HP parts store in your country
https://parts.hp.com/hpparts/default.aspx
Hope it helps,
David

The failure id is for the battery, so I would replace the battery and see how it goes. Is the battery still charging? Is the ac adapter the original one which came with your PC?
The battery for your model 15-d007sia is
4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery part number 740715-001
If you search online with part number you can easily find original or quality compatible products:
Example:
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=740715-001
Hope it helps,
David
