I have a HP 15-BW094NA with a what I belive is a faulty battery . I unplugged the laptop exactly two hours ago to test the battery and the battery life is already down to 15%. I left it on the desktop doing nothing just to see how quickly the battery run out. I then change to power saving mode which worked for a while on desktop but when I tested it by watching a stream battery life dropped by 50% in just over an hour
It was only bought in July and the average battery life is supposed to be 11 hours for these so I believe there is defintly something wrong. I tried using HP diagnostic tools on it but it found nothing wrong. Is there something else I could use to test as I am going to try and get it repaired under warranty but I feel like I am going to need proof that it is not working properly

@PhilBJSPC I have a few steps listed below that should help you resolve this concern:
Unplug the charge, Turn off the laptop and turn it back on after 30mins.
Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager:
1) In the search box, type and open “Device Manager”.
2) Expand “Batteries”.
3) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.
4) Click on “Uninstall”.
5) At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver
6) Shutdown the computer.
7) Remove the battery for a minute and then put it back in.
8 - When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.
9) Go to Device Manager.
10) Expand Batteries.
11) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.
12) Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"
Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.

Thank you for your advice I have done the first part of your advice but I don't see "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller". All I have under battery in device manager is "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" and "Microsoft AC adapter"
I have already done a battery test using the HP 4 in 1 USB tool and it said it passsed
*Edit*:- I have just tested it by playing twitch for an your and it dropped from 87% to 40% on default Windows 10 energy saving battery mode

@PhilBJSPC Go ahead and remove both the options showing up under battery and restart the device as it should automatically reinstall the relevant drivers back on the device and the same should fix the issue,
